About
Evan is an experience designer and researcher from Raleigh, North Carolina. During the day he works at Capstrat, an award-winning communications agency. There he helps corporate and higher education clients craft their Web and mobile experiences. Evan is well-versed in traditional experience design disciplines including information architecture, interaction design, user research and usability testing. He has practical experience with Web analytics, social media and online advertising.
A leader in the budding digital afterlife industry, Evan is author and co-founder at The Digital Beyond, a site dedicated to exploring the digital afterlife. Along with John Romano, Evan is the author of the book, Your Digital Afterlife: When Facebook, Flickr and Twitter Are Your Estate, What’s Your Legacy? (New Riders Press, 2010).
Evan is pursuing a master’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill’s School of Information and Library Science, where he also earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He currently serves as the Director of Social Programs for the Triangle chapter of the Usability Professionals Association and has previously served as Director of Professional Programs.
